Our homeschooling journey is just beginning, and we’re embracing the exciting path of Learning Beyond the 4 Walls. As a retired teacher leader with a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education, I’ve spent years in the classroom helping children learn and grow. But when it came to my own daughter, I realized that traditional school wasn’t the right fit for her unique personality and learning style. I wanted something more, a personalized education that nurtured her strengths, creativity, and curiosity while allowing her to thrive at her own pace.

Preparing for this next chapter has been both exciting and eye opening. I’ve poured my experience as a teacher into researching curricula, designing routines, and creating opportunities for real world, hands on learning. From budgeting lessons at the store to science experiments in the garden, Learning Beyond the 4 Walls is about transforming everyday experiences into meaningful teachable moments.

Through connecting with homeschooling communities, attending workshops, and gathering the best tools, I’ve realized I wanted to do more than prepare my own family, I wanted to support others on this journey, too.
